Creating the notion of “We”
Today I wanted to talk about something that has caught my intention for several months. How workers are intensely so selfish and forget about the notion of “WE” and how managers DO NOT TRY TO SOLVE THIS.
Leading a team depends first of all on the ability of the manager and the team to create the “we”. There are 2 levers for creating this collective identity:
Team spirit, i.e. solidarity, recognition between team members and friendly confrontation.
Cohesion, i.e. the force of attraction between team members that makes them converge towards their common objectives.
Finally, leading a team means finding time to regulate its proper functioning.
